Cartleburn Farm has been around since at least 1851, as can be seen from the census cutting below, at that time it was a working farm with a family of four and a staff of four. All of whom lived at the property.

The Farm was at one time named Castleburn as can be seen from an old OS map
We have a lathe and a good selection of tools and equipment which allows us to tackle whatever we feel like doing.
This is our workshop where we spend most of our time.
It is airy and well lit, which makes it a comfortable place to be
A rough piece of wood is placed on the lathe, this is worked to the required shape which is then sanded smooth and finished with wax or other finishing product.
